Watch family-friendly movie while picnicking under the stars

Carlton, Ore. – Aug. 13, 2013 – Anne Amie Vineyards hosts cinema under the stars with the second installment in its summer series, Flicks ‘n Flights, on Friday, Aug. 16. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the Carlton, Ore., winery will invite picnickers to claim a space on the lawn below the tasting room prior to the post-sunset, open-air viewing of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. In addition to the film, event-goers can enjoy breathtaking views of the vineyards, valley and sunset on the summer night.
“We cherish our summers in the Pacific Northwest, and there’s no better way to spend a warm August evening than outside, under the stars, watching a classic film with family and friends,” said Anne Amie winemaker Thomas Houseman. “Bring a blanket and a picnic, and our knowledgeable tasting room staff will be happy to help pick out a wine to round out a perfect summer evening.”
Admission to Flicks ‘n Flights is free, and the event is open to movie buffs of all ages. In addition to wine pours, the winery will also offer movie snack items for sale including homemade gourmet popcorn, local artisan cheeses, cured meats and crackers. Journey back to the magic and adventure with E.T., a beloved tale of a lost alien and the 10-year-old boy who helps him find a way home.

About Anne Amie Vineyards
Anne Amie Vineyards are located in the rolling hills of the Yamhill-Carlton District and on the steep hillsides of the Chehalem Mountains, both nestled in Oregon’s verdant Willamette Valley. The label was established in 1999 by Dr. Robert B. Pamplin, Jr., who purchased and transformed the historic Chateau Benoit Winery; in the process, he renamed it Anne Amie after his two daughters, Anne and Amy.
As in 1999, today Dr. Pamplin continues to follow a vision of creating wines of the highest quality that reflect his passion for excellence. At Anne Amie Vineyards, Pinot reigns supreme, and Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc form the heart of production. Complementing the pinot family is Old-Vine Estate Riesling and Müller Thurgau. Anne Amie Vineyards is proud to be part of the Yamhill-Carlton AVA, and the Chehalem Mountains Winegrowers. To learn more about Anne Amie or Dr. Pamplin, visit www.anneamie.com or www.pamplin.org.
